I'm Tina Pomroy and the owner of Going Om. I'm passionate about helping women express themselves fully while feeling a sense of balance. Why? Because I work on that myself and I know what it feels like to lose your self identity and feel out of sync! I am also passionate about my kids, my grandchildren, dance, yoga, nature, chocolate, travel, connecting with other women, leadership, and exploring human nature. The Passion Behind the Business

Tina is a student and lover of life living a yoga lifestyle through practice, acceptance, humour, and compassion. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for 30 years and has 25+ combined years of consulting, coaching, human resources, management, program development, and leadership experience in a variety of industries. She is an entrepreneur at heart and had her first entrepreneurship experience at 12 years old selling Regal to be able to pay for Christmas and birthday gifts! Along with almost 30 years working as an employee, she has owned three businesses: an electrical company, an HR consulting company, and a yoga business. These experiences have evolved into her current business, Going Om.

Tina started her coaching journey as a Team Lead for a virtual team across NL in 2007. She began coaching individual clients in 2012 and has been teaching yoga, mindfulness, and meditation since 2015. Through her 40s she struggled with her mental health and used yoga, mindfulness, and creativity to support her well-being. These experiences have informed her graduate research in perimenopause mental health, which has in turn informed how she approaches coaching clients in that phase of their lives.

 

Tina has combined her business skills and well-being knowledge to create unique experiences for her clients, including leadership coaching for women who want to break glass ceilings, well-being coaching for women who want to live and work with passion, and retreats designed for nurturing vitality. Her programs and teachings come with humour and authenticity.

  • Master of Business Administration, Memorial University of Newfoundland, 2005

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Saint Mary's University, 1998

  • 3 years (out of 4) of a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Memorial University of Newfoundland

  • Certified Mastermind Executive Coach, Executive Coaching University, 2013

  • 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher with Shakti Yoga, 2015; 100-hr Traditional Yoga training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul Ashram, India, with Shakti Yoga, 2024; and over 100 hrs of additional training (including Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Stress, Kids Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Ayurveda, Yoga for Trauma, Yoga for Addictions & Mental Health, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Awakening, and Yoga Philosophy)

  • 16-hr Mindfulness-Based Emotional Intelligence, Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, 2014

  • Near completion of 60-hr Certified Meditation Instructor (Vipassana), University of Theology

  • Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and specific trainings on grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and diversity & inclusion

  • Usui Reiki Level I & II

  • Former Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP, now CPHR)

  • Certified MBTI  (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) Facilitator
